Product Manager

Position: Product Manager 

Reporting to the Divisional Business leader
The job holder will be responsible marketing the assigned portfolio throughout its lifecycle, from defining the product vision, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, and working closely with Research & Development (R&D) teams and content & Solutions partners to deliver winning products. The incumbent will also work with Key Account Managers, Corporate Marketing and Service teams to ensure revenue and customer delight targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities: 
• Responsible for the assigned portfolio marketing life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activation; 
• Develop and execute assigned portfolio Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) – mix and segmentation plans; 
• Responsible for assigned portfolio market intelligence reports with regards to trends, benchmarking, competitor comparison and Sales metrics; 
• Management of assigned portfolio marketing budget incorporating continuous review of resources and strategic plans into forecasts/reviews in liaison with Corporate Marketing team; 
• Manage product briefings and debriefings to the agencies in liaison with Corporate Marketing team; 
• Obtaining approval from relevant regulator and key stakholders to introduce new products into the market; 
• Responsible for product validation and testing – Inbox, software, content and applications in liaison with R&D teams/content & solutions developers/ Program/Project managers/OS vendors (Google)/Tech blogger communities and Service teams; 
• Project sponsor for content & solution localization and ensuring that those ready for market are included in new products; 
• Drive the definition of content & solution management processes across all product lines in conjunction with content & solutions developers/ Program/Project managers/OS vendors (Google)/Tech blogger communities and Service teams; 
• Ensure continuous transfer of skills and product knowledge to Channel, Account, Field Force and SEC employees in liaison with HHP Account Managers and Training teams; 
• Ensure responsible Samsung systems utilization by self and assigned portfolio Product Marketing Team; 
• Recommend process and systems improvement to enhance quality and efficiency within the business; 
• Prepare periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc) management and ad hoc reports.

The Person: 
• Ability to provide leadership and guidance through persuasion and negotiation; 
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within and outside the company; 
• Must be able to make both operational and tactical decisions; 
• Must be able to making positive recommendations on critical issues impacting business units and the business; 
• Ability to build relationships, influence, motivate and encourage consensus amongst juniors, peers and partners at all levels to produce high quality results; 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 
• Must be organized, able to prioritize tasks and take initiative at work; 
• Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic business environment, where priorities change; 
• Must be able to plan, organize and prioritize multiple assignments and projects; 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision; 
• Must be innovative and proactive.
