Position: Technical Sales Engineer

W. T. Maye, Inc. (WTMI) is a USA based engineering sales organization with East Africa Regional offices in Nairobi, Kenya. We are currently expanding into Tanzania and Uganda.

WTMI is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to successfully sell Process Measurement & Control Instrumentation, and other related products, into the variety of industrial manufacturing facilities throughout Tanzania. We are looking for someone who will aggressively hunt down business, develop long-lasting client relationships, and uphold the highest standards of integrity & dependability. Compensation will be fully based upon commission generated from direct sales with no upper limits, providing unlimited earning potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Generate sales opportunities with industrial clients
· Assess client need for our products
· Build trustworthy, dependable commercial relationships with clients
· Learn and understand client’s manufacturing process
· Develop solutions for client process improvements using our company products
· Determine the best company products to help the client improve their manufacturing process
· Develop & deliver product presentations and product demonstrations to the clients
· Participate at meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and other events as required by Management
· Provide knowledge and training on products to clients
· Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions, features and benefits
· Develop & maintaining business and client contact information
· Maintain all sales reports and client process data
· Attend & participate with appropriate industry associations, societies, and groups
· Providing specifications and quotations to prospective clients.
· Revising & enhancing product manuals, sales brochures, and presentation material
· Increase overall sales and Increase number of clients

· Strong selling and sales aptitude – a true Hunter with tenacity
· Strong logic & problem solving skills
· Must be trustworthy with a high level of professional integrity
· Proven success presenting technology as a business solution
· Proven success selling in complicated sales surroundings with both technical and business buyers
· Application knowledge of Instrumentation into a wide variety of industrial manufacturing process facilities
· Manufacturing process knowledge of a variety of industries (such as Oil Refinery, Chemical Manufacturing,
Pharmaceutical Industry, Food & Beverage Industry, Power Generation, and others) is a plus.
· Able to make effective presentations or demonstrations in time constrained situations
· Able to prioritize the work in multi-tasking environment
· Able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments made to clients
· Able to build strong working relationships with clients
· Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
· Excellent computer skills (PC), including email
· Great working knowledge of Microsoft Office application software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
· Ability to persevere
· Have an attitude like that described in Philippians 2:3-8

Education and Qualifications: University degree in engineering, science, or related field preferred
