Business Analyst - TRA

TRA would like to recruit dynamic experienced and qualified personnel to fill vacant positions in the Research & Policy, Human Resources & Administration and Board Secretariat & Legal Services Departments. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Tanzanians for the following position:

Position: Business Analyst - TRA

Purpose of the Job

To perform system requirement specification, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation, assist in supporting users and monitor the systems performance to ensure a smooth running of such systems.

Major Activities of the Job

      i.        Analyze user requirements to come up with specific system specifications through user involvements and agreements.

     ii.        Develop software modules to be used as part of the larger systems using various standard development tools.

    iii.        Assist in the quality assurance process and testing the systems.

   iv.        Prepare technical documentation for ongoing developments.

    v.        Assist end users from time to time in the use of the systems and solving their operational problems.

   vi.        Participate in the implementation of new systems of the Authority.

  vii.        Take actions or make recommendations on steps to maintain or improve operational performance.

 viii.        Deal with network and hardware troubleshooting.

   ix.        Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements


      i.        Advanced Diploma or Degree in Information and Communications Technology or Computer Science or Software Engineering or Systems Engineering or Electronics Engineering or its equivalent.

     ii.        Relevant Postgraduate Studies or a Masters Degree or its equivalent from a

recognized Institution/University or CCNA/CCNP, Knowledge of LANs, WANs,

MANs, Router configuration, VSATs, Switches, and Relational Database

Management System (RDBMS) or its equivalent will be an added advantage.


Three (3) years of relevant working experience
