The Arusha Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (AUWSA) is a legally established entity responsible for the overall operations and management of water supply and sanitation services in Arusha City. It is among of the best Authorities in Tanzania. The core function of the Authority is to deliver excellent water supply and sanitation services for all categories of customers and stakeholders in Arusha City.

In order to attain its vision and mission, AUWSA is seeking to recruit dynamic, experienced, competent and qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts within the Authority’s establishment.

Head of Credit Control Section - (1 Vacant Post)

Appointing Authority: Management Committee.
Reports To: Customer Services Manager.

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
The successful applicant must be / have:
- Holder of Form IV / VI certificate.
- Holder of Master Degree in Economics, Business Administration (Accounts or Finance), Marketing Economic Planning, Statistics, or B.Com from a recognized Institution.
- The Candidate must have working experience of at least eight (8) years in a relevant
field of which at least two (2) years should be in a senior position.

Employment Terms: 
Three years Contract - Renewable upon satisfactorily performance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
(i) To supervise collection of debts.
(ii) To supervise preparation of monthly outstanding debts
(iii) To supervise training of junior billing and Customer Billing Officers
(iv) To supervise reconciliation of subsidiary sales ledgers
(v) To approve water disconnection for defaulters and reconnection of service after
payment by disconnected customers
(vi) To manage customer complaints regarding billing debts
(vii) To supervise daily follow up of customer debts and illegal meter connections
(viii) To conduct performance appraisal to all staff under the Section.
(ix) To perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Customer Services

- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
