Sales Executive at Hyatt Regency Arusha

Hyatt Regency Arusha is looking for highly qualified and motivated candidate to be recruited as Sales Executive. The position holder will report directly to the Associate Director of Sales.

Scope and General Purpose of Job:
To assist the Associate Director of Sales in the smooth operation of the Sales & Marketing Office to the standard required by the hotel. To work as a team to create the most professional sales team for the Hyatt Regency Arusha. To meet and exceed sales targets set in monthly and yearly forecasts and to direct all efforts to maximizing the hotels revenues and profits in all revenue streams specifically rooms, small meeting conference and food & beverage operating departments.

Main Duties and responsibilities:
• Sale and promote all of the hotel services
• Maximize the group conversion and optimize sale in order to achieve the hotel’s
targets (occupancy and average rate)
• Be responsible of the offers made to the customers, follow them up closely and conduct customer visits
• Be responsible of elaborating contracts for all hotel services and follow-up until the payment of the first deposit
• Ensure competitive intelligence
• Welcome group customers during their stay and analyze future business opportunities for Hyatt Hotels.
• Prospect new customers and retain existing customers
• Participate in occasional customer events organized by the hotel
• Provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers
• Assists operationally and administratively in the achievement of department’s predetermined sales and revenue targets.
• Assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest and owner expectations.

Required qualifications and experience;
• Ideally with a University Degree/Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management or Sales and Marketing.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury hospitality industry
• Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Good customer service and communication skills are a must.
• Computer skills in MS Office are a must.
• Ability to 'read' people well and interpersonal skills will be essential
