DISTRIBUTION DRIVER 

CCKL requires the services of a distribution driver, to be based in Dar es Salaam. The incumbent will directly report to the respective Distribution Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport all products to and fro the customers, daily deliveries reconciled with load manifest, cash banked daily at end of shift, deliver to allocated destinations product and/or goods as and when required, pre- and post trip inspections done and all deviations reported to workshop, ensuring the vehicle is maintained in clean and neat condition, both external and inside cab, ensures proper time-keeping of crew, ensures crew is always clean and neat with uniforms.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Proper driving license, Form IV leaver with a minimum of 2 years of experience in driving HDV truck, Good eye-hand-foot coordination, good peripheral vision, ability to follow the scheduling system and procedures, knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures of HDV truck, stress and time management skills. A good command of English language will be an added advantage.

The Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) was established under the Public Corporations Act No. 17 of 1969 by a Presidential Order through Government Notice Number 115, published on 25th August, 1978. Driver will be responsible for driving the Authority’s motor vehicles and ensures that the vehicle is always in good condition.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

ii) To ensure that vehicles are in good condition by making periodic checkup and report any problem to Transport Officer for further action;

The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) is a world-renowned Institution for teaching, research and services in the field of International Health Development. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is investing in the Health Promotion and System Strengthening Project (HPSS) in the Dodoma region in the United Republic of Tanzania and has mandated the Swiss Centre for International Health (SClH) of Swiss TPH to implement the project. Job purpose
Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the Driver will be responsible for driving and ensuring cleanliness and safety of BBC Media Action vehicles in Tanzania by observing BBC health and safety policies.

Main Duties:
    Drive BBC Media Action vehicles in a safe courteous manner at all times
    Adhere to BBC Media Action standard procedures, rules and regulations regarding use of the vehicle
    Responsible for the proper use and security of BBC Media Action vehicles and equipment assigned
    Ensure that the vehicle is clean at all times
    Comply with working hours as instructed
    Perform daily vehicle inspections including: vehicle safety check (tyres, engine oil, water, dashboard, lights and battery component) before use each day and ensure insurance and registration are completed on time
    Responsible for proper use and safekeeping of all vehicles’ equipment: jack, spare-wheel, first aid box, fire extinguisher, triangle reflector, tools and spanners, radio and cassette compact and supported by vehicle inventory sheet inside the vehicle.
    Responsible for timely refuelling of the vehicle
    Arrange for timely vehicle service with mechanic
    File BBC Media Action log book for any approved trips
    Report all defects immediately to BBC Media Action Office Manager
    Hand over vehicle keys to BBC Media Action Administrative Officer when there are no office trips
    Travel up country with BBC Media Action staff on program for projects’ activities

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Education:
(i) Holder of Form IV Certificate or equivalent qualification
(ii) Possession of a valid class C driving licence
(iii) Should have at least 6 years relevant working experience in reputable organization
(iv) Possession of Trade Test Certificate or VIP drivers certificate from VETA or NIT or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage

TCCIA (Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture) is a membership organization of entrepreneurs. The branch for Manyara region was founded in 2004, but nation-wide the organisation has been in existence since 1988. Its core-business is to lobby and advocate on behalf of its members, to strengthen the capacity of its members through training as well as to link them to financial institutions and investors. TCCIA Manyara operates in all 5 districts of Manyara region. 

Context of the Job: 
This position combines two functions: Driver & Logistics officer. The candidate should be able to perform logistical duties, and also be a driver for TCCIA Manyara office. 

Tasks & Responsibilities: 
Transportation 
1. Driving project car to the field 
2. Fuelling of office car 
3. Maintain and control of logbook (Properly filled in) 
4. Responsible for vehicle road license and insurance 
5. Timely maintenance and repair of office car under his capacity 
6. Purchasing of tyres and spare parts 
7. Ensure vehicles are clean and in good order 

Logistics 
8. Collecting and sending documents 
9. Payment of bills e.g. NSSF, TTCL, TRA, Postal, Tanesco, Water and Salaries. 
10. Minor maintenance of office equipment 
11. Perform any other duties as directed by your supervisor (Executive Officer) 

Job requirements: 
1. Certificate of any recognized driving institute
