Deputy Managing Director - CRDB

Reporting to the Managing Director (Chief Executive), the Deputy Managing Director shall be responsible for co-creating and implementing CRDB’s overall commercial and funding strategy across channels and business lines.

The Deputy Managing Director shall work with the Managing Director and other members of the leadership team in making the CRDB’s Vision a reality.


  • He/She shall work to optimize network productivity, driving profitability and increasing volume of business while maintaining a strong cost/income ratio and a high quality of credit portfolio.
  • He/She shall lead the digitalization agenda including observation and adoption of developments in telecommunications banking, encouraging and agile development and product environment, and driving agile team working within the portfolio.
  • He/She shall be technologically literate and through championing this agenda steer the bank to enthusiastically embrace new innovations and developments as they arise.
  • The core purpose of the role is to provide inspiring leadership and strategic direction to teams amounting to 2,500 FTE for a number of CRDB businesses. 


The portfolio of responsibilities will include leadership of the following divisions:

  • Retail Banking
  • Corporate Banking
  • Marketing, Research & Customer Services
  • Alternative Banking Channels
  • Treasury



THE PROFILE
The Deputy Managing Director shall be a self-motivated, credible, and highly capable leader.  Candidates will have high levels of energy, pragmatism, and commitment with the ability to influence diverse groups, and work well in an achievement-based environment. Well-developed leadership and management skills will combine with a high EQ, an open and inclusive approach to business, and the ability to work as a natural team player at executive management level.

The Deputy Managing Director shall have deep experience and understanding of retail and business banking across a branch network of scale, as well as corporate banking and a good understanding of strategic treasury management. They will be fluent in customer and marketing disciplines as well as having a good grasp of risk, compliance and governance. They will be a technological evangelist able and eager to lead the digital and automation agenda, nurturing an innovative culture and collegiate, professional working environment.

Manager Agribusiness


CRDB Bank Pic is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant positions existing on our structure following recent review of its Organizational Structure.

Scope
The job purpose of this level will be to manage the Agribusiness Unit within Corporate Banking Department to ensure growth of a quality loan portfolio and income in line with the business strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and develop an annual business plan for Agribusiness Unit and contribute to the overall business strategy for the Corporate Banking Department to ensure that plans are developed and implemented in line with clear business objectives and goals that support the overall Bank strategy.
  • Identify and negotiate business opportunities with Agribusiness corporate clients and develop overall strategies for business development in order to increase the corporate business in line with annual business targets.
  • Manage and enhance existing business relationships to ensure the retention of good customers in line with business needs.
  • Analyze and review all Agribusiness corporate client appraisals to ensure credit is granted in line with the credit policy and procedures.
  • Conduct reviews of the Agribusiness corporate loan portfolio and recommend appropriate interventions to ensure it performs in line with approved performance indicators and targets.
  • Review and contribute to the enhancement of the credit policy and procedures for the Bank to ensure that this is aligned with current business and statutory requirements.
  • Review, develop, monitor and control the budget for the unit and monitor the budget of the department to ensure budgets are aligned with the business plan and expenses are controlled within agreed limits.
  • Manage the performance of subordinate staff and develop and implement training and development plans to ensure their performance is aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders for example, clients, government institutions, the Central Bank and other financial institutions to ensure that the Banks interests are properly represented and safeguarded.
  • Review all unit reports arid related processes and procedures to ensure sound quality control and recommend appropriate interventions in line with policy.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • The ideal candidate will be candidate with a Master degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness with 8 years working experience in related fields. Knowledge.

  • Ability to provide specific training on topics based on the change market and business dynamics.

Manager Call Centre


POSITION: MANAGER CALL CENTRE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Driving the strategy for a full-fledged multilingual call center both inbound and outbound with the view of creating a virtual customer experience for the customers of the Bank. 
  • Prepare annual budget plan for the Centre to ensure that all activities and expenses are controlled within the agreed limits. 
  • Manage lead and motivate staff to achieve the set performance targets for the Centre within the specified time and ensure the operational level of excellence in maintained. 
  • Ability to initiate. launch and manage various call campaigns as per the requirement of the Business units Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) with suppliers of key systems to the call center to ensure that quality services are offered as per expected level of performance and standards. 
  • Manage Customer Response Time with the respective business units on customer complaints queries to ensure that solutions are availed to customers in a timely manner as per Banks standard. 
  • Monitor and control optimal staffing levels and devise or create a conducive working environment at the centre that will foster quick delivery of solutions to customers' problems and service innovations to ensure there is smooth delivery of service to customers in line with the overall business strategies. 
  • To carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by the relevant Director.


QUALIFICATIONS
Degree/Advanced Diploma or its equivalent in Business Administration from a recognized Training Institution Possession of a Master's degree will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

  • The candidate should have minimum 5 years' experience in a Call center of which at least 3 years must be as a Call center Supervisor /Manager. 
  • Having experience of both Inbound and outbound call operations and at least managed a call center team size of 50 or above. 
  • The call center may be of any industry telecom, insurance, banks, utilities etc Applications from call center experts from different industry will also be considered .
