Responsibilities:
You are responsible for a variety of mission critical areas that will give you exposure to all aspects of our operations and technology:
1. Customer technical support (level 2) and support to our customer services team;

Trial Clinician (1 POSITION)

• Assist the Principal Investigators and Trial Manager with the implementation of the clinical trial in the Mwanza including:

• Dealing. with clinical results and queries, reviewing case report forms, and other relevant study documentation and maintaining Study Master Files.
• Participating in communication between MITU/NIMR, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM; the trial sponsor) and the other international trial partners.
• Coordinating, training and supervising field team staff in MITU/NIMR (and other sites as required) in order to ensure that the trial is conducted to GCP and other international trial standards.
• Participating in meetings and discussions to discuss research progress, findings and any other aspects of the study.
• Participating in writing up of the trial findings in reports (e.g. for the TFDA) and peer-reviewed publications.
• Preparation of reports for-the trial governance bodies (e.g. Trial Steering Committee, Data and Safety Monitoring Board) and the funding agency.
• Travel to progress and coordination meetings as required.
• Undertaking other duties as may be required by the Principal Investigators of the trial and the Trial Manager.

Essential Qualifications
• Candidates must be fully-registered medical doctor, with a medical degree from a recognised university.
• At least one year's relevant experience working on clinical trials, or as a research coordinator of a large epidemiological study.
• Clinically active within the past 3 years and evidence of current registration to practice medicine in Tanzania.
• Evidence of having practical experience in the management of research teams.
• Evidence of having practical experience of assisting with leading or coordinating GCP compliant studies, including familiarity of study monitoring visits

Medical Attendant II (3- Posts)


Bugando Medical Centre is a consultant and teaching hospital for the Lake and Western zones of the United Republic of Tanzania. It is situated along the shores of Lake Victoria in Mwanza City. It has 900 beds and over 1000 employees. It is a referral centre for tertiary specialist care for eight regions, namely: - Mwanza, Geita, Simiyu, Mara, Kagera, Shinyanga, Tabora and Kigoma. It serves a catchment’s population of over 14 million people. Bugando Medical Centre is therefore inviting suitably Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies;-

Position: Medical Attendant II (3- Posts)

Qualifications
Holder of an Ordinary Secondary School Certificate and must have at least three (3) years working experience in the related field. Must have a Pre-Nursing Certificate from recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing basic health education to in patients and relatives in the ward.
  • Ensuring that all utensils are clean.
  • Inspecting the Institute clinical areas.
  • Advising matron on all matters relating to cleaning duties.

Entry Qualifications:

  • Holder of a Diploma in Nursing from any recognized Institution and has been registered in with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Tanzania.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Nursing care of patients
  • Administering medicine and treating patients as prescribed
  • Adhering to the rules and regulations of DDA
  • Giving health education to patients and their relatives
  • Conducting ward rounds

Entry Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing from any accredited and recognized nursing institution, registered with Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council with one year of internship.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teach of student nurses and/or medical students.
  • Apply the installed integrated hospital management information systems in all activities and reporting.
  • Adhere to the prescribed inpatients and outpatient treatment manual and procedures.
  • Ensure that prescribed instructions are carried out
